The Long Dark
The Exodus has been under way for 127 years. You were born here, you will probably die here, and every festival, every school lesson and every countdown clock on the ship agrees that New Eden is 23 years ahead. Then an archive assignment puts you in front of a sealed door, and behind it is a survey correction filed in 2211 that nobody was ever supposed to read. The Council has known for four generations. They have not been steering nowhere. They have been steering somewhere much worse than the thing they promised, and they decided that 50,000 people could not survive being told.
