Playing Pretend
Your ex is coming to the company retreat. With a new partner. And everyone knows your history. Desperate to save face, you convince your charming but infuriating coworker to pretend to be your significant other for the weekend. It's just acting, right? A few held hands, some longing looks, maybe a dance or two. But somewhere between the fake pet names and the surprisingly convincing chemistry, the line between performance and reality starts to blur. The problem is, you're not sure which one of you stopped pretending first.
